Located in Montreal, the Carrefour Montrose has been in existence for 28 years. Founded by seniors, the centre has 130 people who provide 18,000 hours of volunteering annually. Carrefour Montrose encourages keeping seniors in the community and citizen participation. It runs an important program against social isolation and elder abuse that covers the Montreal area.
The Northwest Territories Seniors' Society
The Northwest Territories Seniors' Society is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1983 that provides information, acts as a resource and support for seniors and elders across the NWT. The Society is the only voluntary agency representing the individual and collective interests of all seniors and elders in the NWT.
The Quebec Farmers' Association
The Quebec Farmer' Association is a not-for-profit, member-based organization that defends the rights and advocates on behalf of the English-speaking agricultural community across Quebec. Its members are located in the in the Outaouais-Laurentides region, the St-Jean-Valleyfield region, and in the Eastern Townships (Estrie Region).
The Seniors Resource Centre of Newfoundland & Labrador
A non-profit, charitable, voluntary organization dedicated to promoting the independence and well being of older adults in Newfoundland and Labrador through the provision of information as well as various programs and services. The SRC NL provides invaluable services to communities around the province.
The Fédération des aînées et aînés francophones du Canada
The Fédération des aînées et aînés francophones du Canada is a federation of 12 territorial associations with over 60,000 members across the country. Most of them live in a minority environment across Canada and in the eastern region of Québec. The Federation is a leading voice on issues related to ageing, community living, intergenerational relations, preventing fraud and abuse.
